Pastor Miller is the living example of God’s directive to “love your neighbor.” His ordained knowledge and life experiences reaffirm his believe that God is the answer to all we need. His preaching and teaching comes directly out of the bible, nothing added – nothing left out. In addition to leading our bible study and bringing understandable and relatable messages each week, Pastor Albert actually leads our Hands Up Ministry work. His passion for helping others in our community and ensuring that everyone experiences the true love of God is both touching and inspiring. Whether you join us for bible study, worship services, or a community event, we look forward to meeting and sharing God’s love with you.
Faith is the cornerstone of our church. It is part of every activity that we do, every meeting that we hold. We believe in our Lord, and that our actions are a reflection of his goodness.
Our preaching and teaching comes directly from the Bible. We believe God’s Word provides us with the instructions for living a fulfilled and rewarding life. Whether you have been reading the bible all your life or just started today, our teachings will help you understand what it is God is saying to you and how to use the bible to grow and set yourself in a way that you can actually “live your best life!” for eternity.
We are always looking for ways to share God’s love. Whether supporting youth events, participating in city-wide activities, recognizing those mothers and fathers are the local nursing facility, or meeting individual needs through our Hands Up ministry - we are here for Taylor and the surrounding communities!
Children are all unique; they have different needs and learning styles. We tailor our Children and Youth ministry to meet the specific needs of our children. From toddler to teen, we tailor lessons, activities and games to help our children/youth learn about God. We design our materials to meet the needs of our families. Using fun games and crafts our children not only learn about all the stories in the bible, but how those stories apply to their lives today and how they can share God’s amazing love with others. Children are always welcomed in our sanctuary and are encouraged to learn, grow, and volunteer in ways they believe God is leading them.
The Hand Up ministry is designed to provide resources to meet specific needs of those in our community. Here are some of our Hand Up Ministry activities:
The bible is full of parables (stories), directions and timeless life lessons. It is as applicable today as when it was written and contains the answers we need to know to grow in our walk with God. Our weekly bible study provides a friendly and open time for members to study the bible together, seeking answers to everyday questions and challenges we face today. Whether you are a bible scholar or just getting started, our lessons are easy to understand and provide lots of time for questions and fun fellowship.
Men and women are different; while our women are most often the planners and organizers, you will more than likely see our men doing the heavy lifting (hard work). We believe supporting each other, spending time together, focusing on commonalities and fellowshipping is important. Whether meeting for a meal, coming together for a bible lesson, or just hanging out, we enjoy time growing together. We also use our Men’s and Women’s ministries to plan and execute many of our community outreach activities, such as: recognizing the Mothers and Fathers at our Taylor SPJST facility, adopting families for the holidays and participating in community events like the Christmas parade.
